The same code is used by all users.

About Simplex 5000

Kaba-Acess is a division of Kaba that produces push button locks.  They offer both mechanical and electrical (battery operated) versions.  Simplex was purchased by Kaba, but this lock can go by either name.

Both the 5000 and L1000 series are mechanical locks.

Think of the 5000 as a new an improved version of the L1000.

It has more features, costs about the same and is not as ugly.

Advantages over L1000 series:

Change user code without removing the back of the lock to change a code.

Non-handed lever (reversible in the field).
